First I would like to thank everyone who took the time to comment on my last submission, Liquid Diamonds- the feedback and constructive suggestions were wonderful and encouraging. You're the greatest!!
This photograph is another taken the same day as "the curtain shot" and Liquid Diamonds.
Its the absolute last one that I took before the lost-camera-disaster.
Art is what you make of it, and I would love to hear what you make of this.
Postwork: contrast correction and sepia tones/desaturation added in Photoshop.
The title is from a song by Blue October, that was on constant playback in February. I had been in love with it before, and somehow the song just became associated with some feelings that I had been immersed in. By way of explanation to someone who may be offended, don't be. When all is said and done, its still just a good song.
"White kitchen walls with a thousand windows
you turn on Winston in the den
and I'm still asleep but I can hear the piano
when you make breakfast after 10
and I smell the coffee on your fingers
I still smell the perfume in the bed
the crushed linen roses on everything
and your still inside my head..."
how do you keep it so simple and yet so grand. as usual - perfection in lighting/contrast. the eyes are flat out amazing. fabulous eyebrows and i love that i notice the little tiny diamonds in the ears.
You are amazing Jess! The light and tone are breathtaking, also your eyes are sparkling. Looking a bit like Denise Richards in this I might add, its the eye brows.
Amazn!

it is beatiful, and striking in its simultaneous simplicity and depth. i like the hues you've used very much, and the way her hair blends in with the blackness of the background is amazing. makes it look almost like her face is a china or porcelaine mask
First and foremost, you are simply beautiful. Secondly I'm not sure if this shot turned out as well as the 1st one of the series. The reason I say this is because I feel that the contrast might be slightly too much on this one. It makes your nose look slightly odd, as there are no distinguishing marks to where the top part of your nose is; yet you have a nostril just sort of floating in the middle of your face. (Sorry that's the only way I know how to explain it) But all in all, you are still 10x the photographer that I am and I envy you.

This is excellent. Astonishing... that look in the eyes is so special and so magic... The light up better and stronger than christmas-lights would've done it.
Please please please, could you take some close-ups of the eyes? Pleeeeaaase fidget! If you won't, you'll have to explain why not in a note! (uhh, what a threat)
