Words by my friend Bridget:

Transcendence

Lying at the brink of extinction... she didn't want this.
To further her specie, she evolves out of necessity.
Transcending, she sheds layers of life.
The transformation is beautiful and horrifyingly painful.
She flew through the sun; she knew seeing it would change her forever.
Her outer layer exuviated, and fed to the flames,
she glowed with strength and freedom beyond boundaries:
the last of her kind.

much like the other in this series - i find it fantasy like and done so in B&W photography makes it that much more "touchable" to me.....you seem at such peace in nature in your element and its so soft as a result - i like the crop b/c i think the being nestled with the foreground works - and the texture/darker hues of the foreground balance the light on the skin - though i do wish that upper shoulder wasn't cut off

great shot, and love how natural the pose is
yes yes

Beautiful piece, pic & poetry... Keep it up! :D (Big Grin) Thumbs Up
Great work, I really have enjoyed this photo series.
Beautiful. You really are doing well w/ B&W. I love the crop on this one, it gives it the right energy considering you're in the fetal position.Must be tough to do these shots.
